Community Christmas Dinner 

Notice for December 2024: the annual Community Christmas event will be held at the Whitianga Town Hall Monk St. Saturday 21st December 2pm - 4pm. This will include all our favourite fun, music and a visit from Santa. Come join us for a lovely afternoon tea, and create lots of joyful memories. All welcome.

Though it does not replace the regular Manawa Kai Meal service however, we are providing a special Christmas-themed meal for collection up at St. Andrew’s on Monday 16 December. Meals should be pre-ordered through the online order form to avoid missing out.

Background

The Community Christmas Dinner is a time of celebration and belonging.

Every Christmas the Community Christmas event is held in a suitable venue in Whitianga.

It is especially intended for folk who have no one to be with on Christmas Day or cannot readily afford Christmas treats. Families are welcome. It is a special time of friendship and fun with others in the community.

The venue and dinner are prepared by a team of wonderful volunteers who give their time so generously. 

We are mightily grateful to the people, groups and companies who donate time, finance, and other resources to make this special event such a memorable occasion.
